On the afternoon of May 6, the College of Humanities convened the Emerging Scholars Forum, themed ‘Humanism/Post-Humanism and Cultural Sustainability.’ The event brought together more than 40 participants, including five newly appointed faculty members, academic administrators, senior faculty peers, master’s and doctoral students from two graduate institutes, as well as administrative staff from across the university.

 

The five presenters offered perspectives ranging from ecological and biological sciences, traditional xiqu literature and its transmission, digital music pedagogy, AI-driven visual arts education, to museum management and cultural sustainability. Each tightly structured ten-minute presentation demonstrated the depth of interdisciplinary and cross-domain dialogue within the College of Humanities. The faculty members and their presentation topics were as follows:
