國立臺灣藝術大學人文學院於115年9月15日盛大舉辦「20週年院慶系列活動」，結合學術論壇、國際合作簽署儀式暨交流午宴。本次活動以「超越人文主義？人文學科—後。人文學科—21世紀人類知識永續性」為主題，邀集來自新加坡與臺灣的重量級學者，共同探討科技與社會巨變下的人文價值與藝術教育責任。論壇開幕由臺藝大鐘世凱校長及新加坡藝術大學（LASALLE | UAS）Venka PURUSHOTHAMAN 校長共同致詞，並由前人文學院院長廖新田教授主持，人文學院現任院長劉俊裕教授發表主旨演講，為論壇揭開序幕。隨後的專題研討精采紛呈，藝術管理與文化政策研究所林玟玲所長探討博物館文化永續影響力評估；新加坡藝術大學 Jonathan GANDER 副教授與WOO Yen Yen副教授分別就 AI 時代下藝術管理者責任及文化重思提出深刻見解；臺藝大藝術與人文教學研究所蘇育代所長與通識中心葛傳宇主任則分別分享臺灣學校音樂社群的永續支持系統及通識教育革新。兩校並於論壇結束後進行 MOU 合作備忘錄簽署儀式，在學界貴賓的見證下，臺藝大與新加坡藝術大學正式締結國際夥伴關係，攜手開啟跨國學術交流與藝術合作新頁。20 週年慶祝午宴，特別邀請前校長黃光男教授、歷任院長與師長貴賓齊聚一堂，共同見證人文學院二十載的豐碩成果。人文學院將持續秉持跨領域思維深化國際鏈結，培養具備全球視野與人文關懷的專業人才，邁向璀璨的下一個二十年。

Transcending Humanism? Humanities, Post-humanities and Human-sustainability in the 21st Century Forum

The international forum “Transcending Humanism? Humanities, Post-humanities and Human-sustainability in the 21st Century,” is convened to mark the 20th anniversary of the College of Humanities at the National Taiwan University of Arts. Framed by a critical interrogation of the epistemological, ethical, aesthetical, and ontological foundations of humanism, the forum seeks to engage directly with the challenges posed by global sustainability agendas and shifting geopolitical realities. It critically examines how contemporary developments in politics, economics, society, ecology, and technology—particularly within Asia—are reshaping the research, teaching, and knowledge domains of the humanities. Through reflection on these transformations, as well as on the humanities’ responses, reconstructions, and reactions, the forum explores pathways toward the sustainability of human knowledge in the 21st century.

For centuries, humanism, grounded in the subjectivity of human beings and the capacities of human reason, has occupied a prominent position in both Eastern and Western intellectual traditions. Through observation, analysis, and critical inquiry, humanistic knowledge has sought to understand human emotions, ethics, and cognition while enabling humanity to comprehend and shape its natural and social environments. However, under conditions of late modernity characterized by disciplinary specialization and the increasing differentiation of knowledge, the influence of humanistic values has gradually declined.

This changing landscape compels scholars and educators in the humanities to confront a fundamental question: How can the humanities continue to justify their social relevance and public value in the face of unprecedented global challenges? Faced with these pressing questions, how can the faculty and students of UAS and NTUA move beyond the traditional confines of the academic ivory tower? How does university-based cultural practice and social engagement generate new forms of knowledge production, learning, and innovation? More fundamentally, how might the humanities and culture reclaim their leadership roles in contemporary society?

Looking toward the future, the forum invites critical reflection from colleagues in NTUA and UAS on how human beings might coexist more equitably and harmoniously with non-human species, ecological systems, artificial intelligence, technological infrastructures, and institutions. At a deeper level, it explores the transition from an anthropocentric worldview toward a more pluralistic and relational post-human condition, one that recognizes diverse forms of agency and interdependence. In doing so, the forum seeks to advance human-sustainability, and the renewal and transformation of humanistic knowledge in an increasingly shifting world.
